The Ministers Council in its session held on Sunday 19th November, 2017 approved Draft of the General Budget law and Draft of the Government Units Budgets law for the Fiscal Year 2018.

Noting that, the total amount of the Public Expenditures summed up to JD (9039) Million in Draft of the General Budget law for the year 2018, whereby JD (7886) Million were allocated to the Current Expenditures and JD (1153) Million were allocated for the Capital Expenditures.

Whereas Public Revenues summed up to JD (8496) Million divided as follows; JD (7796) Million of local Revenues and JD (700) Million of Foreign Grants.

Accordingly, the Budget Deficit for the year 2018 will be JD (543) Million, which equals (1.8%) of the Gross Domestic Product (GDP).

As for the Draft of the Government Units Budgets law for the Fiscal Year 2018, total revenues are estimated to reach JD (1664) Million, while expenditures are estimated to reach JD (1812) Million, with a total net deficit before financing reaching up to JD (148) Million.

It is worth noting that the abovementioned Draft Laws have been sent to the Parliament in order to constitutional procedures for approval.
