As part of its ongoing efforts to enhance budget processes in the Kingdom, the General Budget Department has issued the “Budget in Brief for fiscal year 2015”. The yearly publication follows international best practices and aims at improving performance and increasing the efficiency and effectiveness of government spending.

The Budget in Brief is a tool that enables GBD to communicate effectively with public and private stakeholders as well as international organizations to raise awareness about economic and fiscal developments in 2014 and the main elements of the 2015 budget.

Published for the fourth year, the Budget in Brief offers a quick glimpse of the general budget law of 2015 and a summary of economic and fiscal performance in 2014. It also spells out the main trends, assumptions, milestones for the 2015 budget as well as macroeconomic projections. The publication also presents the budget timetable, potential risks on the medium term.
